Marian Barker won the Women's West Texas Championship match play at San Angelo Bentwood Country Club, the went west to Ruidoso and teamed with Joyce McBride to win the Kachina Doll Tournament.
"They're fun to play in and good competition and you know you have to play well to win," said Barker, who fine tunes her game at Lubbock Country Club constantly.
She won three matches in San Angelo, the first two 6 and 5, before winning the title 3 and 2.
It's the 15th time she's won that title.
Then she teamed with McBride to win the three-day tournament in Ruidoso with different formats each day ... a shamble, low-ball and modified alternate shot. She's played with McBride for more than 20 years and has won this tournament at least ten times, she said.
When asked if she was happy with her 2019 season so far, Barker responded: "It's off to a good start."
