PGA Head Golf Professional
Brandon grew up in Iowa, played golf in high school and community college and got a marketing degree from Northern Iowa University. He started working at golf courses while in high school and eventually saw that as a career path. Brandon set a goal of becoming a head golf professional and found a mentor when working at a golf course outside of Cleveland. He later moved on to Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, which hosted the 2018 PGA Championship. Brandon was on the Bellerive team putting on that major and a year later fulfilled his dream of becoming a head golf professional at Lubbock Country Club.
Lessons: $75 for 30 minutes, $100 for 45 minutes
Class A Member of the PGA
Bobby is from Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Texas Tech with a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture. Bobby went back to Ohio and became a golf professional. He always wanted to come back to Lubbock (his daughter recently graduated from Tech). Bobby also has a son who plays football for Middle Tennessee State University.
Lessons: $70 for 30-45 minutes
Leon Van Rensburg
Class A6 Member of the PGA
Leon was born and raised in South Africa, where he played junior golf with "the likes of Ernie Els, David Frost, Nick Price and Retief Goosen." Leon received a golf scholarship to play at Midland Junior College and later became a PGA member in 1992, becoming a Quarter-Century Member in 2017. He's been at LCC since 2007 after being the first head pro at the Rawls Course at Texas Tech. Leon's coached the All Saints golf team the last 11 years, with two state titles in the last two season. He's been awarded Teacher of the Year (2012, 2015) for West Texas Chapter of the PGA and was PGA Player of the Year for 2013.
Lessons: $50 for 30 minutes; $150 for Playing Lesson
Level 2 PGA Associate
Travis, a Midland native, joined the golf shop in 2018.
He played golf at Lubbock Christian University, where he met his wife, Kristie.
Travis developed our PGA Junior League this year. Travis has for a passion for helping beginner golfers and introducing people to the game.
Lessons: $60 an hour, $40 for juniors.
Director of Merchandising
Alli grew up in golf. Her dad was a golf pro mostly in Texas and a Quarter-Century Member of PGA. Her mom was a golf shop merchandiser and Alli married a golf course superintendent. She attended New Mexico State University’s Golf Management program. Alli came to LCC in 2008 and sees the difference clothing can make in someone’s game. "You look good, you feel good, you play good. Your golf score can’t always be perfect, but your outfit can be,” she said, adding, “I just want to dress the world.”
